The Shub Niggurath Cycle

poetry by Brandon Black

Fingers rub sweetly.
Above her the moon blushes.
Foam drips from her mouth.

Blood rises in ears,
moon shakes the bodies of witches,
flesh is a temple.

Witches chant softly,
Speak in tongues, eyelids twitching.
Unseen forces stir.

On my flesh, she writhes
Dark words shudder forth Her hymn
Rhythm builds the gate.

Ecstasy, a door
Opened by the light of souls.
Passion is the key.

Ia Shub Niggurath–
Our blood echoes our success
with the arts arcane.

Hail Shub Niggurath!
Our passion devours the world;
By will, we triumph.
